Welcome to Maryland Creek Ranch Builders (MCRB) bimonthly update

Photo Friday has become a victim of it’s own success.  The number of groups and families that are following our growth and progress has out grown our IT ability.  Therefore, we are back with the next edition of Photo Friday after changing internet applications.  Thank you for your patience.

Weather continues to cooperate which has allowed good progress to continue on the site.  Patios and front entry ways are being poured, landscaping has started, and road and driveway paving is going well.  Tract X (Cabins 1 – 10) infrastructure is in, the first retaining wall is being built, excavation is in full swing and foundations are in process.

All homeowners are welcome to do an Electrical Walk-through of their homes with our client liaison, Fred Niggeler.  These walk-throughs evaluate lighting, switches and outlet layout.  The walk-throughs most likely will occur in a home or cabin similar to yours (but not necessarily your home or cabin). Fred will reach out to you when it is your time to schedule a walk-through; should you so choose.

For all of our Powell Buyers please note: we have heard the requests for an open steel railings for the Powell stairway. A portion of the stair railing going up from the main level will now be open steel railing.

Site visits are limited on some days due to paving operations over the next several weeks.  Please bear with us for site access this month.  Remember that the Summit Sky Ranch is a construction zone and you must be accompanied on site at all times.  We now have a construction trailer on site and our field safety coordinator will be monitoring any visits to the site.

Take care,

Maryland Creek Ranch Builders

Welcome to Maryland Creek Ranch Builders (MCRB) bimonthly update:

It is that time of the year where leaves are changing and the morning air is brisk.

There has been a lot of progress over the last two weeks at Summit Sky Ranch. The Lift Station base got poured and walls are being formed.  We are now working on the second retaining wall on Maryland Creek Lane, the entry road.  In addition to new homes sites being excavated and framed, ceilings, cabinets, doors and garage doors are being installed.

As we get ready to install the hardwood floors, we are using a best quality practice of having the wood flooring material delivered to the site several weeks before installation. This allows the wood a chance to acclimate to our micro climate prior to the installation.

Please remember that the Summit Sky Ranch is a construction zone and you must be accompanied on site at all times.  We now have a construction trailer on site and our field coordinator will be monitoring any visits to the site.

Take care,

Tom Everist, developer of Summit Sky Ranch, has been involved in Summit County through his six-generation family business since 1964. Now, this longtime businessman is developing Summit Sky Ranch on his family’s pristine parcel of Rocky Mountain wilderness in Silverthorne, just five minutes north of I-70.

“I envision a vibrant and inclusive community that brings families and their love for the outdoors together to enjoy quintessential Colorado living, and at the same time preserves the natural beauty of the spectacular Blue River Valley that my family has cherished for more than half a century,” said Everist.

Tom’s passion for developing Summit Sky Ranch comes from his belief that personal relationships are at the core of our lives, and the community is being thoughtfully designed to encourage social connectivity among families and neighbors. The Aspen House serves as the community’s social and recreation centerpiece offering everything from coffee to star gazing, yoga to outdoor swimming and more. In warmer weather, residents can kayak and paddleboard on the community’s private lake, and come snowfall they’ll enjoy Nordic trails, ice skating and sledding. Plus, miles of community trails connect to the White River National Forest for year-round enjoyment.

In addition to the thoughtfully designed amenities, the community’s mountain modern design stands apart from more traditional log cabin architecture in the area. With a variety of sizes and floor plans, all of the homes are contextually designed to complement the raw natural beauty of the land, featuring a natural palette and native materials such as wood, stone, granite and quartz. Built with extraordinary architectural design, this community centered development will bring families together to enjoy Colorado living at its finest.

When my family and I began planning the development of this majestic property over 15-years ago, we knew three things. 1. We were going to build for those who had the mountains in their hearts. 2. We wanted to build a community that could imbue the passion and love for the mountains into younger generations of Colorado adventurers. 3. We were focused on conservation—both of the land and environment, but also of the active mountain lifestyle. (SummitSkyRanch.com)
