Enjoying Halloween in Summit County

Get ready to elevate your Halloween experience in the high country this season! Summit County is offering some extraordinary ways to celebrate this spooky holiday.

Embark on a charming horse-drawn wagon ride from Breckenridge Stables, with views of Mt. Baldy and the Ten Mile Range as your backdrop. This 20-minute journey leads you to a picturesque pumpkin patch where you can handpick the perfect pumpkin to carve. They provide warm blankets and delicious hot chocolate to ensure your ride is both delightful and snug. The price for adults is $79, while kids can join the adventure for just $59.

But if you crave a dash of education with your spookiness, try out Breckenridge’s  Haunted Tours around town. These tours delve into the eerie history of the area, exploring various haunted buildings and give you ghost-hunting gear for the tour. For adults, it’s $28, and kids can enjoy the thrill for $17.

Keep the chills coming with the Breckenridge Backstage Theatre’s ‘The Haunting of Breck Theatre.’ This immersive experience delves into the macabre tales of Edgar Allan Poe. Be prepared to wander around because the theater is transformed into a Haunted House for this event, a unique departure from your typical sit-down theater performance. The price ranges from $20 to $35, depending on the level of spine-tingling you’re ready to embrace.

As for Frisco, all the Halloween excitement happens on the 31st for an unforgettable night out with the whole gang. Start your evening with the Halloween Dog Parade, hosted by the Summit County Animal Shelter. No need to register – just show up with your pup in their finest costume and join in the fun! And if your furry friend’s costume game is already on point, snap a picture in front of your house and post it on our social media for a chance to win a 4-pack to Arapahoe Basin this winter.

Don’t miss the chance to take a leisurely stroll down the charming Main Street in Frisco for a delightful trick-or-treating experience. Many businesses, including ours, will be decked out in Halloween finery and ready to treat your little goblins from 5 to 7 pm. Visit us at the Keller Williams Top of the Rockies office and say hello!

In the high country, Halloween isn’t just a holiday; it’s an adventure waiting to be embraced. So whether you prefer horse-drawn wagons, haunted tours, or spooky theater experiences, there’s something to satisfy everyone’s appetite for all things eerie and exciting this season. Happy Haunting!
